What to expect

Your guide will welcome you just outside the monument with a brief introduction to the site inaugurated in 80 CE under the name of the Flavian Amphitheater.

Dedicated to the emperor Titus Flavius Vespasianus, the opening of the venue was celebrated with 100 days of games and could host up to 50,000 spectators, indeed the biggest amphitheater in the world.

Once inside, you will walk along some of the spectacular storeys having the chance to imagine the fierce competitions that used to take place in the arena: hand-to-hand fights between gladiators, contests between men and animals and other types of entertainment.

Super bien!

Todo bien, la guia Simone lo explicaba genial pero para lo que es el recorrido me parece caro porque igualmente haces las colas para acceder y los controles de seguridad. Recomendable hacerlo por la tarde porque hay menos gente.
